Hi, I'm so glad you're here! Continue reading to find out a bit more about me, my inspiration and what I've been up to recently.

Amadora is a painter specialising in vibrant cityscapes inspired by the energy of urban life. Working primarily in acrylic, she captures the atmosphere of cities through bold colour - often focusing on iconic locations from her hometown of Sheffield. Her work brings familiar scenes to life, transforming them into dynamic paintings with a sense of nostalgia.

Alongside her cityscapes, Amadora also creates expressive portrait paintings, using vivid colours and bold brushstrokes to capture the personality and energy of her subjects. She works on a range of collaborations and commissions creating custom artworks. From portraits, to motorsport paintings and bespoke projects - most recently, painting one of the Pride of Yorkshire sculptures.

Amadora is a self-taught artist, whose artistic journey began in lockdown 2020. Her work is now collected across the UK and internationally, and featured in galleries and art fairs nationwide. Amadora has recently won the Peak District Artisans Emerging Artist Award 2025.

WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO…

2026 has been a pretty incredible year for my art business so far, with lots of new opportunities, big milestones and a few things I definitely wouldn’t have predicted at the start of the year!

One of the biggest highlights came in January when I was awarded the Peak District Artisans Young Emerging Artist Award. I’m proud of this achievement and so excited to be part of such a talented collective of artists and makers.

As part of the award, I was given the opportunity to have my first solo exhibition at Hopton Hall Gallery in Ashbourne, showcasing 11 original portrait paintings. I spent around six months creating the collection, experimenting with my expressive portrait style and even creating my biggest portrait painting to date! Seeing the collection all come together in the gallery was such a huge milestone for me and my business.

I’ve also continued developing my Sheffield cityscape collection, creating new paintings inspired by some of my favourite places across the city, including The Leadmill, Riverside and, most recently, The Forum. I’m currently busy working behind the scenes getting everything ready for the Forum print launch, which we’ll be celebrating with a special night at the venue very soon!

Another very exciting project this year was being selected to paint one of the Pride of Yorkshire Lions for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity. I collaborated with Doncaster Racecourse to create a bespoke, life-sized lioness celebrating 250 years of the St Leger Festival. It was a completely different kind of project for me and such a brilliant opportunity to bring my artwork into a new space.

And finally, there’s been a pretty big change of scenery… I’m expanding into Manchester! I’ve recently taken on a new studio space and I’m excited to start building a Manchester cityscape collection in the near future. I’ll also be exhibiting at Manchester Art Fair later this year, so it feels like the beginning of a really exciting new chapter for Amadora Art.

There’s still plenty to come before the end of 2026, and I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me!
