‘Terracotta Palms II’ is the second painting in this collection, comprised of two artworks created to work as individual pieces, or together as a pair. This collection was originally created using acrylic and oil pastel in warm ceramic tones inspired by Mediterranean architecture; from burnt oranges and browns, to rich corals and soft peach. This piece aims to capture the essence of sunset and the feeling of tranquility after long, sun-filled days. The warm brown brushstrokes represent the silhouette of palms trees against terracotta-hued buildings, casting long shadows as the day drifts into night. 

This collection uses a minimalistic colour scheme to represent the beauty in simplicity and evoke a feeling of calm, whilst still having elements of the artists’ usual expressive style.
